Copy a Position

A Security Administrator can create a position based on the setup for an existing position with the Copy Position option.

To copy a position:

  1. Select dspConduct > Security in the Navigation pane.

  2. Select a position.

  3. Click the Copy Position icon.

  4. Click Edit.

    View the field descriptions for the Copy Position page.

  5. Enter a name in the New Position Name field.

    NOTE: Select from the following options as needed.

  6. Click the Copy Roles check box to enable it.

    NOTE: If Copy Roles is enabled and Copy Org Units is not enabled, only the role assignments are copied. Role level org unit assignments and read-only/editable settings for roles and role level org units assignments are not copied.

  7. Click the Copy Org Units check box to enable it.

    NOTE: If the Copy Org Units check box is enabled the position level category org units are copied to the new position. The user must select Copy Roles to copy the role level org unit assignments to the new position.

  8. Click both  the Copy Roles and Copy Org Units check boxes to enable them.

    NOTE If the Copy Role and Copy Org Units check boxes are both enabled the role level org unit assignments, the read-only/editable settings for roles and the org units at the role level, and the position level category org unit assignments are copied.   9. Click the Copy Business Processes check box to enable it.

  10. Click the Copy Users check box to enable it

  11. Click the Create Position icon.
