Configure User Filters

Filters are customized at the user level to limit data contained in rules for all project distributions to which the user is assigned. User filters apply to all rules that include the specified field(s).

User filters can also be set on the Project Distribution Users page for a specific project distribution.

User filters are AND combined with project distribution filters. When multiple user and project distribution filters are applied across different columns, these filters are AND combined. If multiple user and project distribution filters are applied to the same column, these filters are OR combined.

To define a filter for a user for all project distributions:

  1. Select Information Steward Accelerator > Configuration in the Navigation pane.

  2. Click Filters for a User ID.

  3. If no records exist, the page displays in add mode. Otherwise click Add.

  4. Enter a filter field in FIELD field.

    NOTE: Users will receive reports with data restricted by this filter setting.

  5. Select a value for the comparison operator from OPERATOR list box.

  6. Enter the value to be compared to Field using Operator in CONSTANT field.

  7. Click Save.

To define a filter for a user for a specific project distribution:

  1. Select Project Summary in the Navigation pane.

  2. Click the Distributions icon for a project.

  3. Click the User icon for a project distribution.

  4. Click the Filters icon for a user.

  5. If no records exist, the page displays in add mode. Otherwise click Add.

  6. Enter a filter field in FIELD field

    NOTE: Users will receive reports with data restricted by this filter setting for this project distribution.

  7. Select a value for the comparison operator from OPERATOR list box.

  8. Enter the value to be compared to Field using Operator in CONSTANT field.

  9. Click Save.
