Assign Project Distribution Rules using Custom Attributes

Custom attributes, such as Priority or Business Owner, are user-defined descriptions that can be applied to rules. These attributes are added in Information Steward and assigned to a rule that is registered in the ISA. Attributes are used to organize and assign rules to project distribution and display in workflow templates.

Once tables are refreshed in Collect, the custom attributes will display in the ISA. Refer to Refresh Tables for more information.

To assign rules to a Project Distribution using custom attributes:

  1. Click Information Steward Accelerator > Project Summary in the Navigation pane.

  2. Click Distributions for a project.

  3. Click Custom Attributes for a distribution.

  4. All attributes registered to all rules in IS for that distribution display.

  5. Click Values for a rule.

  6. The values for the selected attribute that are assigned in IS display. Unused values aren’t shown.

  7. Click Rule Count.

  8. Either:

  1. Click Add to add the rule that contains the value to the project distribution.

    NOTE: The REGISTERED check box is enabled for rules in the distribution.

    OR

  2. Click Remove to remove the rule that contains the value from the project distribution.
